Makes me proud I was born and raised in Iowa. I understand he and his opponent in 2006 ran one of the cleanest and most respectful campaigns ever.

An established Republican is voting for Obama. America is in a crisis and we need Obama. Leach understands that, I wish the other Republicans would too. Obama for America!

Watching this moved …
Watching this moved me to tears…you couldn’t ask for a better indictment of what our government has fallen to. His stance reminds me of of a beloved former governor from my home state of Rhode Island, who later became Navy Secretary and Senator…the late John Chafee. He worked across the aisles to get things done for the good of the country, political dogma be damned. I see a lot of this highlighted in Mr. Leach’s speech, and in what Obama stands for.

I watched all the …
I watched all the speeches given last night and this one was the most impassioned and serious, and by far had the most ‘meat on the bone’ of any speech given.
Note the tone in which it was given. Dead serious. Now, remember Zell Miller speaking at the GOP Convention in 2004? Does the phrase, “Raving maniac” come to mind?
Mr. Leach meant what he said… and he said it well.

Wow that just shows …
Wow that just shows how awesome Obama is that a REPUBLICAN would vote for him and put the nations interest before his party’s. The really sad thing is though, probably like no Republicans are watching this because if they are they might change their minds and vote for Obama. But that guy seriously sounded like Kermit the Frog. Great speech though!!!!

You’re absolutely …
You’re absolutely right Phazon, unfortunately the partisan politics of ideologues has caused a devolution of our political system into an abyss of irrationality perpetuated by 527s and newsfotainment channels. Now all most voters care about is rather the Elephant will pass the Donkey or vice versa and get the checkered flag. It’s really sad. Especially when it’s so easy to get the facts.
