How bad do you think the riot is going to be at the Democrat national convention in Denver?

March 6th, 2010 | by admin |

Worse than Tibet, as bad as in 1968 or no worse than the running of the Olympic torch?

And do you think Bush would send in the national guard (whatever is left in the US) to stop it?

I think that if the super delegates do not support Sen. Obama and vote using the guidelines they have for their position (that they should vote for the candidate with the greatest chance of beating Sen. McCain) there will be strong riots not only in Denver but other major cities as well.

Okay, first of all Tibet is the olympic torch, unless you mean the Chinese invasion of Tibet, in which case you are comparing riots to wars!

Why would there be riots like 1968???

The youth counterculture that brought forth that event is nonexistent!

Read a book, or better yet, believe everything you read on Y!A.

There will be no riot. This thing is going to be all wrapped up well before the convention. Obama has a virtually insurmountable lead, and the superdelegates are not going to overturn that.

I think that what’s going to be difficult for you is – losing.

I thought liberals liked peaceful protests. They will just lay around smoking whatever is available and chanting that it is Bush’s fault.

This will be wrapped up for Sen. Obama long before that.

What riot? People can passionately disagree and not become violent.

    Thanks for the points. ( ;

Obama will be elected, and people will go on about the election between McCain and Obama.

Probably not at all. Outside the convention It will be nation wide if Hillary is appointed the candidate by the super delegates over the will of the people. I was at the last Democratic caucus in Texas and so was a Hillary Clinton speaker. She lasted about 5 sentences, and if she kept it up she was in real danger. People were running around the auditorium with Obama banners, booing and threatening her it was nearly a crime scene.

They got her out a back door under protection. Many Obama supporters are not easy to keep calm. I was not proud.

There never were enough national guard. LA, Dallas, Houston, Des Moines, Washington DC, and Atlanta will be burned to the ground.

When the Obama supporter spoke the Clinton people just held hands, cried, and smoked weed, and popped antidepressants like they were M & Ms.

Yes, it will be bad, especially if Hillary manages somehow to take the nomination away from Obama.
    They will need security there.

There is no comparison between 1968 and 2008. In 1968 the country was divided along the lines that were dividing the Democrat Party.
In 2008 the difference between the two canidates and the two factions is merely personality – as far as policy and ideology goes they are very similar.
I do not expect any riot at all much as Republicans may be wanting one.

There won’t be a riot. If there is local police will keep it contained because they’ll have the full Democratic party machine watching over it.

If anything, look for Hillary Clinton to inflame things and try to blame it on Obama in an effort to steal the nomination.

I think riots are possible. Both candidates have volatile following and either choice could result in demonstrations that get out of control. For that reason, the Democrat national leadership needs to get in control of this party and flex some muscle over their own. Pelosie only fans the flames.
The Governor of the state would ask for the National Guard and be relieved when they arrived.

well, since the National Guard is over their fighting Bushes War, they will probably have to get ahold of the Blackwater trainees, that are getting steroided, and pumped and propeganded up to head on over to their new carrer in Iraq and Iran~!!!

and that trigger happy group of wannabe Rambos will probably show up all locked and loaded and shoot everyone in sight and then ask questions later~!!!

Bush can’t send in the National Guard. That is controlled by Colorado’s Democratic Gov Bill Ritter a lawyer and former prosecuter.

You can bet though if something does go wrong it will be blamed on Bush, McCain, Rove.
