What are the custom-made dolls sold in anime conventions called?

February 9th, 2010 | by admin |

I love anime and I’ve been to several anime conventions. When I go, in the Dealer’s Room (where they sell stuff) there’s always a table set up that makes custom-made dolls. The dolls are very pricey, about 300 bucks or more each. Any one know what they’re called?
Obviously they’re called dolls. I mean the brand/company/website.

If they’re those ball-joint dolls, they they’re by Volks Dollfie. They’re made from resin, rather than vinyl. There’s some lower-cost alternatives on the site below (such as "Who’s That Girl") made by the same company.
