How many different kinds of conventions can you name?

Like, conventions for american comics and so forth.
There are so many different kind of conventions out there that I really don’t begin to list them all…
There are genre conventions like sci-fi and fantasy. Or there are conventions for specific series like Star Wars, Star Trek, or Transformers.
But honestly, this doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface. Almost anything has a convention in one form or another. There are even genealogy conventions, and convetions for those who collect glass figurines. Pick a hobby, and it will have a convention somehow.
