How does one get elected as a delegate at the state convention?

That does not make sense, if you were a delegate, you would know the process.

I was a delegate back in 2000. The process is probably different state by state, but if it is like Kansas you have to get your state party commision to select you by vote, so talk to your clerk and then you’ll prolly have to get in touch with the memebers and give them your pitch. One of my professors back then and I had a joint ticket, it was kinda a youth and experiance thing. We were also non-voting members of the party platform committee, and worked up a lot of good ideas on how they could reach out to the midwestern voter, but they didn’t care about you if they didn’t have a vote, and they pretty much wanted everyone to just reinforce what they’ed always been doing anyway.
