Was it a grand slam at the convention tonight or what? ?

March 8th, 2010 | by admin |

First Giuliani loaded the bases by hammering home Obama’s lack of will when it comes to confronting and battling our enemies and then Governor Palin knocked it out of the park by further pointing out all of Obama’s inadequacies compared to John McCain’s accomplishments and long service to our country on behalf of all of the American people.

OHMYGOSHYES!
I fell in love with Giuliani on 9/11. This just furthered my love he is so funny and smart! I half wish he was running…

And palin ohmygosh if i was gay….lol.

The speeches tonight were phenomenal and I cant wait till tomorrow and later the debates. I dont think I have ever been so excited about an election ever!

McCain/Palin 08!
We are the shoe in. :]

What is the McCain program? Not a word. One can only ask why it was not even mentioned. Nothing? It was a bad night for the GOP.

Its funny how the McCain/Palin Campaign called the media and their opponents sexiest for vetting her publicly and she comes off as a bitter idiot. I believe she opened many doors that the McCain Campaign will not be able to close.

Guiliani who could not even get elected. Palin who can’t teach simple sex education to her own daughter because she’s too busy killing polar bears. Yes, Obama hit a grand slam when McCain picked her.

I loved Giuliani’s speech and especially loved the story about the teacher who took all the desks out on the first day of school, only to have war veterans bring them in at the end of the day. That was a priceless reminder of how much we owe our veterans.

She is not qualified in any way to run the country…it seems like a political stunt that will surely backfire…her daughter should have an abortion…she is too young to be a good mother and children need good parents, not young kids that get pregnant accidently…

It was an "or what." Exactly what are McCain’s "accomplishments?" It sounded to me like being a POW was pretty much the extent of it. Did you like Giulianni’s comment that being an Islamic terrorist was an insult to terrorists? Just how could terrorism be made worse by being Islamic?

It was 3 of the greatest speeches I have heard this year. After hearing Giuliani I was wondering if Palin could match it. She did and it was fantastic. I actually had fun tonight.

Hmmmm – wonder what revisionist texts you’ve been reading from. Giuliani has no will when it comes to women – even with his children present – Gov Palin sounded more like a cheerleader than a candidate with any substance. Her experience is trivial based on many other perfectly capable, competent women, any HR director would laugh her mediocre experience straight to the shredder. And don’t forget Joe Lieberman (bore) and Fred Thompson – please go back to acting.

John McCain is a one note samba – thousands have died needlessly, 10′s of thousands return physically or mentally disabled. If that’s an example of long service – we could do with a little less service.

It might have been but the Repubs were playing golf.

Let’s just pretend that the last years haven’t happened and that the doosh bag in charge wasn’t a Repub. Let’s put a hag right out of the trailer court on stage and let her whine in a shrill tone about stuff that is entirely out of her league. She’s Dan Quayle with a fun pouch.

Your right, the brain behind placing the terrorist command center under the only target that had ever been attacked, ignoring all the advice of every expert loaded the bases, then the mayor of a town of 5500 and a governor of a state population Milwaukee, spoke about all that McCain had done and nothing about what he would do to make America better. The presidency is not a gold watch you get for years of service, we do not OWE him the presidency, we has to prove he will do whats best going forward. If i had to be in a pow camp in 1970, i would be honored to have John McCain in the cell beside me, if i had to pick the next president, i need more than the speech of a man whose only accomplishment was being mayor when his city was attacked and a poor mother whose major accomplishment was sucking as much special interest money out of Washington and into Wasilla, AK as she and Senator Stevens could muster.

Absolutely yes…and I think Dems are forgetting that 1 week ago they ripped McCain endlessly (like him or not, he IS a war hero and should command more respect). And 24 hours ago they were going after Palin’s family like rabid dogs. And now, with all that pressure she had put on her by the Dem party and media, she absolutely smoked it out of the park. I think they understand now that tallking change and living change are big differences. We’d rather have a President that can say "yes", lets drill, or "no" lets not; "yes" lets put sanctions on Russia or "no", than simply sayin I’m "present"- I showed up today.
