    Spinks …
    yerty2000

Spinks made his name in the Light Heavyweight division, he’d had only FOUR bouts at heavyweight before facing Tyson.

Poor old champ. Tyson knocked Larry OUT COLD!

Man, Tyson was an awesome force in his prime.

    Bullshit.

    Tyson …
    Bullshit.

Tyson was a bully who crumbled every time he found himself in a real fight. Holmes was 38 here and had been inactive for 3 years. Tyson didn’t beat any great fighters in their prime.

Holmes in his prime would have beat him convincingly. Ali would have just played with him.

    Like Usain Bolt or …
Like Usain Bolt or Michael Johnson, Tyson was a freak, a one off that will never be seen again. For a few years he truly was invincible.

    Not that it would …
Not that it would change the outcome. But Larry got stuck on the rope exactly at 5:00. He tries to throw a right uppercut but all it does is open up for Mike.

    true. Because that …
true. Because that calibre of fighter will invariable be accepted into boxing and wont have to scrape a living in MMA.

Bob Sapp is a feroucous MMA fighter, but if he were to take up Tyson’s challange he would be KO’d inside 30 seconds.

“Sign the contact big boy, sign the contract”

    There has never …
There has never been a fighter in the history of mma that would last more than 30 secs in the ring with a fighter of Tyson’s caliber, it’s a laughable assertion to compare any fighter in mma to Tyson or anyone close to Tyson’s caliber, holyfield etc. Just don’t do it, haha…

    I do remember the …
I do remember the press ‘investigating’ whether Tyson was human or not at one point. I think that is testament to how good he was.

People actually thought he was created in a lab or something, this was around the Pinklon Thomas fight if I remember rightly.

And he will never receive the respect he deserves from enough people in his own lifetime. It’s easy to say he fought bums, just like Louis’s ‘bum a month club’ because he made them all look so inept.

KO’ing Spinks in 91 seconds ffs!

    there is a …
there is a misconception that Tyson didn’t fight tough competition, but in actuality it was actualy VERY tough, he just destroyed them because he was the most perfect fighter boxing ha ever seen…Pinklon Thomas, Razor Rudduck, Spinks, Biggs, Bruno all of these guys would have given Ali a run for his money

    dude, Tyson would …
dude, Tyson would have beat Ali in his prime…I would put alot of money on it, ALOT. Even though Ali was the greatest- there was a time in Tyson’s career where he would have beaten any heavyweight in history..he was simply supernatural at one point.

Well put…To even put mma in the same sentece with Tyson should immediately be taken as a joke. Mma couldnt afford the kinda money Tyson commanded 20 years ago, today.

oh please dont say tyson was better than ali, u just make yourself look dumb. ali faught some of of the hardest punchers in the history of boxing (shavers, foreman,) after his prime and never got ko’d. So please dont tell me a prime ali will lose to tyson. enough said. i suggest u dont argue.

    just check out 7:30 …
just check out 7:30 I hate these who preach all this bullshit about MMA. Do these dickheads know JUST how much stronger and faster a heavyweight boxer like Tyson is? I cannot see how any semi-skilled fighter (MMA) could approach a powerhouse like that and expect to get through those punches to start cuddling the man.

BOXING is the ultimate. Plain and simple. There is no way an MMA thug could get even close to Tyson. The man would knock you out before you could compare tattoos

    People forget …
People forget Tyson’s intelligence, ring science and raw boxing skill. He was one of the smartest and technically brilliant fighters of all time – but it was always overshadowed by his ferocity. That’s how scary this man was!
