Yeah….those were the days in which I used to stop whatever I was doing at the time to watch the heavyweight fights.
Sadly….I didn’t get into the Ali fights until he entered the graybeard years….but during the Holmes era….I remember watching guys go about these matches like the gladiators that they were.

yeah but you gotta admit—it wouldve been really interesting to see the prime, real early 80s Larry Holmes fight Tyson. Instead Tyson kicked Holmes like Holmes kicked Muhammad Ali ass. Holmes shouldve just called it a day after Spinks, but these guys dont know when to quit (I think Holmes didnt even retire for good until about 1995).
