Places to stay between Burbon st and Convention Center?
March 6th, 2010 | by admin |Going to New Orleans in June/July and have Qs. Last time I was there (5 yrs ago) I stayed at La Quinta Inn on Camp St. And it was good because it was close to the convention center (had to go during the day for meetings) and Burbon St (where I could party at night). What are some other NICE hotels I could stay at where I am between the convention center and Burbon St again.
For your purpose I think I would recommend the Renaissance Pere Marquette Hotel is newly renovated and is just across Canal about a block from the start of the French Quarter.
Renaissance Pere Marquette
(504) 525-1111
817 Common St
New Orleans, LA
You might also want to try
Monteleone Hotel
(504) 523-3341
214 Royal St
New Orleans, LA
There are really a lot of nice options, if you cross over Canal out of the french quarter I would recommend selecting something within about a block from Canal for desirable location.
P.S. The Wyndham mentioned above is no longer a Wyndham but cant recall what its called now.

There are scores of hotels in the Central Business District and in the Warehouse District, not counting the ones in the French Quarter. There are also a dozen or so hotels either directly across the street from the CC or within a block. It mostly depends on how much you want to pay.
The Renaissance Arts Hotel (Marriott), the Embassy Suites Hotel (Hilton), the W Hotel on Poydras Street, the Lowes Hotel on Poydras Street, and the Hilton Riverside are all nice hotels close to the CC.

I stayed at Harrahs 2 nights last April, 4 star all the way!! I also stayed at Wyndham Riverfront Hotel, a nice 3 star with a great restaurant onsite.

The Best Western St. Christopher was on my list, worth a look. The Hilton is great because it’s right on the Riverwalk.
