Cheap parking close to Los Angeles Convention Center?

June 9th, 2010 | by admin |

I’m going to E3 in a couple of weeks and I’ve heard that the parking here is like 25 dollars per day. Does any one know of a cheap parking lot close to the convention center, it doesn’t matter if I have to walk a little, I preffer walking than paying 25 bucks.

If you want to park near the convention center/Staples/LA Live, it’s expensive. There is nothing within a few blocks that will be cheap (or safe).

As already mentioned, you might want to park in Universal City, or North Hollywood at the free lots around the Metro Rail stations. It’s only $1.50 each way for the subway. You get off at 7th St/Metro, and walk 4 blocks to the convention center.

If you’re willing, take the train to downtown; a day pass will cost $4 or $5. Otherwise, you’ll pay a premium for the "convenience of driving."
