The Moroccan American Coalition (MAC) held its Third Annual Convention in Denver, Colorado. The event brought together 18 Moroccan Associations and over 100 active community individuals in addition to the local Moroccan community members of Denver, CO. The Moroccan American Coalition event coincided with the Democrat Convention and attracted several Moroccan and American influential speakers: Ambassador Aziz Mekouar of Morocco to the US – Congressman Jim McDermott (D-WA) – Mr. Mohamed Ameur The Minister of Moroccans Living Abroad – Mr. Mohamed Laenser The General Secretary of Popular Movement in Morocco – Mr. Ahmed Herzenni President of Advisory Council on Human Rights in Morocco – Mr. Abdelaziz Omari Member of the Parliament of Morocco – Mr. Richard Cizik Vice President for Governmental Affairs (NAE). The Third Moroccan American Coalition event gave conventioneers the opportunity to learn new development on Moroccan policies and how the Moroccan community can play a large role in the USA. CREATION OF THE MOROCCAN AMERICAN COALITION DENVER, COLORADO, AUGUST 22nd, 2008 – The Moroccan American Coalition (MAC), was created by the members of the provisional board, represented by several Moroccan Association and active community individuals in the USA who voted by ballot and elected the Executive Officers and Board of Directors. The Moroccan American Coalition’s mission is to empower Moroccan Americans to achieve their full potential by unifying over 200,000 growing community members through a platform in which they can leverage their collective assets.

I did try my book, and other internet sources, and could not find these answers. Teachers are un-askable because it’s an online school, and they sometimes don’t even check their e-mails because they’re tards.

Could you not reword the questions yourself? Also, if it’s just the wording, then why do you need the answers? Somebody could just reword the questions for you.

Key Legal Points Regarding the Flotilla Assault

The U.N. Security Council has already weighed in on the blockade (of which the flotilla attack is one part), attacking it in Resolution 1860 for collectively punishing the people of Gaza. The resolution calls for “the unimpeded provision and distribution throughout Gaza of humanitarian assistance, including food, fuel, and medical treatment.” The criticism of the embargo as illegal is heavily rooted in the logic of the Fourth Geneva Convention, Article 3 of which mandates that states take all possible steps (even when formal wars have not been declared between two states) to protect noncombatants. Behavior that is expressly prohibited includes any actions that are a threat to individual life (9 civilian activists were killed in the flotilla attack). The taking of hostages (including the more than 660 seized by Israel) for political or military purposes is also prohibited. The blockade is illegal in that it violates the legal principles behind the Geneva Conventions, which were created for the general purpose of prohibiting states from engaging in collective punishment against civilians during times of conflict. Israel’s collective attack on the civilians of Gaza (and its refusal to even acknowledge that they are under assault) represents a clear violation of the spirit and letter of the Geneva Conventions.

The U.N. Charter is quite explicit that use of force is only allowed under two conditions: in the case of immediate self defense against an ongoing attack (not a theoretical one) or in the case of Security Council authorization. Israel could claim neither of these. Any attacks against the flotilla have not been convincingly linked in any way to previous military conflicts between Hamas and Israel. Apologists for Israeli aggression like to argue that international law outlaws the use of force (outside of the two conditions listed in the U.N. Charter and discussed above), while also arguing that the U.N. Charter allows states like Israel to annex land in the West Bank and to control of Gaza’s territorial space, in light of the fact that the Occupied Territories are not formally states. Under this line of thinking, since the West Bank and Gaza Strip do not formally constitute a state, they are not parties to the U.N. Charter – hence Israel is not bound by to respect their sovereignty. There’s little reason to take these objections seriously. The U.N. Security Council has long deemed Israel’s occupation and control of Palestinian lands and territorial space as illegal under international law, despite the fact that Palestine is formally a nation, rather than a state (see Security Council resolutions 242, from 1967, and 338, from 1973, which declared the inadmissibility of occupying or annexing land by force).

The United States was one of four countries Voting NO for an International Investigation!

GENEVA, June 2 (Reuters) – The United Nations Human Rights Council on Wednesday voted to set up an independent fact-finding mission to look into what it called violations of international law in Israel’s raid on a Gaza aid flotilla.
In a resolution proposed by Pakistan for the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) and Sudan for the Arab group, the Council by a vote of 32 of its 47 members also condemned the Israeli action as outrageous.
The United States, Israel’s longtime ally, together with Italy and the Netherlands voted against, while nine European, African and Asian nations abstained and three more African countries did not vote.
The resolution called "for full accountability and credible independent inquiries into these (Israeli) attacks" in which Israel says nine people on one boat in the flotilla died.

It’s standard operating procedure for ALL American politicians, Democrat or Republican. It’s the American Exceptionalism thing.

In 1973, the American Psychiatric Association (APA) removed homosexuality as a mental disorder from the APA’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual Of Mental Disorders (DSM-II).

This decision was a significant victory for homosexual activists, and they have continued to claim that the APA based their decision on new scientific discoveries that proved that homosexual behavior is normal and should be affirmed in our culture.

This is false and part of numerous homosexual urban legends that have infiltrated every aspect of our culture. The removal of homosexuality as a mental disorder has given homosexual activists credibility in the culture, and they have demanded that their sexual behavior be affirmed in society.

What Really Happened?
Numerous psychiatrists over the past decades have described what forces were really at work both inside and outside of the American Psychiatric Association-and what led to the removal of homosexuality as a mental disorder.

Dr. Ronald Bayer explains how homosexual activists captured the APA for political gain.
Dr. Ronald Bayer, a pro-homosexual psychiatrist has described what actually occurred in his book, Homosexuality and American Psychiatry: The Politics of Diagnosis. (1981)

In Chapter 4, "Diagnostic Politics: Homosexuality and the American Psychiatric Association," Dr. Bayer says that the first attack by homosexual activists against the APA began in 1970 when this organization held its convention in San Francisco. Homosexual activists decided to disrupt the conference by interrupting speakers and shouting down and ridiculing psychiatrists who viewed homosexuality as a mental disorder. In 1971, homosexual activist Frank Kameny worked with the Gay Liberation Front collective to demonstrate against the APA’s convention. At the 1971 conference, Kameny grabbed the microphone and yelled, "Psychiatry is the enemy incarnate. Psychiatry has waged a relentless war of extermination against us. You may take this as a declaration of war against you."

Homosexuals forged APA credentials and gained access to exhibit areas in the conference. They threatened anyone who claimed that homosexuals needed to be cured.

Kameny had found an ally inside of the APA named Kent Robinson who helped the homosexual activist present his demand that homosexuality be removed from the DSM. At the 1972 convention, homosexual activists were permitted to set up a display booth, entitled "Gay, Proud and Healthy."

Kameny was then permitted to be part of a panel of psychiatrists who were to discuss homosexuality. The effort to remove homosexuality as a mental disorder from the DSM was the result of power politics, threats, and intimidation, not scientific discoveries.

Prior to the APA’s 1973 convention, several psychiatrists attempted to organize opposition to the efforts of homosexuals to remove homosexual behavior from the DSM. Organizing this effort were Drs. Irving Bieber and Charles Socarides who formed the Ad Hoc Committee Against the Deletion of Homosexuality from DSM-II.

The DSM-II listed homosexuality as an abnormal behavior under section "302. Sexual Deviations." It was the first deviation listed.

After much political pressure, a committee of the APA met behind closed doors in 1973 and voted to remove homosexuality as a mental disorder from the DSM-II.
nickipet, it should concern you, because these politicians or gay activist, in effect put an end to therapy for gays, when science and medicine said it was needed. Imagine if the LGBT decided to take the attention off of AIDS, by saying that it was a normal gay condition, there would be an outrage.
